Sleek and attractive, the IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid makes a powerful first impression
Whatever your perspective, the elegant lights draw the eye with their
curved outline, seamlessly integrated into the car’s profile.
Sleek headlights use LED projectors for both low and high beam.
Dynamic curved LED daytime running lights frame the air intakes that feed the active airflow, reducing turbulence around the front wheels.
The IONIQ’s interior is designed around the philosophy of clean simplicity
Sometimes it’s the small things which can make a difference. For example - having heated seats and steering wheel for cold mornings, being able to charge your smartphone wirelessly, or switching the rear view monitor on for extra visibility while driving.
Light and pure - the interior of the IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid has been designed to be effortlessly elegant, efficiently clutter-free and logically forward-thinking.
The large 10.25" touch screen is the nerve centre of the IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid, providing navigation, media and driving information. Connectivity is provided by Apple CarPlayTM, AndroidTM Auto plus connections from two separate Bluetooth® devices can be made at once. Voice recognition can also read and send SMS messages.
The high resolution 7 inch TFT supervision cluster displays key driving and energy flow information and features different colour schemes according to driving mode.
A clean and refined design inspired by the flow of air.
The side sill mouldings keep air close to its body, while the front wheel air curtains redirect turbulent air.
The stylish and intricate alloy wheels are aerodynamically sculpted to minimise air turbulence and deliver optimal fuel economy.
IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid’s integrated rear spoiler minimises turbulence and air
resistance while increasing the down force for a more stable driving experience.
A rear view camera aids visibility.
When used as a conventional hybrid electric vehicle, a computer selectively
operates between the engine and the electric motor – or even both at the same time –
depending on the level of power required to travel.
When it’s operating in electric mode, the vehicle is driven only using the electric motor
until the charge from the high voltage battery becomes too low, at which point it reverts
to the hybrid mode automatically.
Pure electric mode gives you up to 39 miles of zero tailpipe emissions,
depending on your driving style and road conditions
IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid can be charged in a variety of ways, at home or on the go.
So you can take every opportunity to enjoy zero emission driving.
Wall box
In order to optimise the performance of the IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid, we strongly recommend that owners have a charging system at home. This can provide a 100% charge in 2 hours 15 minutes. In the UK, POD Point is Hyundai’s preferred partner for domestic charge points and features £500 (including VAT) of government support towards purchase and installation.
Emergency Occasional
IONIQ Electric is delivered with an In-Cable Control Box (ICCB) Emergency 3 Pin Connector that can be used when travelling to places with no other dedicated charging solutions. Charging time is approximately 6 hours.

These figures were obtained using a combination of battery power and fuel. This model is a plug-in hybrid vehicle requiring mains electricity for charging.
Figures shown are for comparability purposes. Only compare fuel consumption, CO2 and electric range figures with other cars tested to the same technical procedures.
These figures may not reflect real life driving results, which will depend upon a number of factors including, accessories fitted (post-registration), variations in weather, driving styles and vehicle load.
