Following the government announcement on the evening of Monday 23rd March, we have made the heavy hearted decision to temporarily close the business as of Tuesday 24th March.
The board of directors had already made the decision to close at 5pm on Wednesday 25th March; however, this deadline was brought forward due to the announcement.
We hope to be able to see our customers again soon however we can only re-open when the government advises us that it is safe to do so. Therefore, we unfortunately cannot provide you with an exact re-opening date at this moment time.
If you've purchased a vehicle from our Toyota, Mazda or Hyundai sales departments and were due to collect your new car from us over the coming days, we are very sorry to say that this will no longer be possible due to the present circumstances.
We understand this is extremely disappointing because getting a new car is normally such an exciting time, however the safety of our employees and customers is our main priority and we thank you for your patience, understanding and co-operation at this time.
If you weren't able to collect your car by Tuesday 24th March, we want to reassure you that your car will be stored safely and will be ready and waiting to be handed over to you when this situation we find ourselves in is over.
Once we re-open we welcome all Motability customers to come into our branches, where one of our friendly Motability specialists will take care of everything for you.
At this moment in time, Motability have announced they will automatically apply a 6-month lease extension to those customers who are nearing the end of their lease. For full details on this extension and answers to any other questions relating to Motability please visit www.news.motability.co.uk/scheme-news/updates-from-the-motability-scheme-regarding-covid-19-coronavirus/
Due to the uncharted circumstances we find ourselves in unfortunately, all service and MOT appointments have been cancelled until we re-open for business. We are extremely sorry to have to make the decision to cancel all bookings but as soon as we re-open all customers booked in during this period will be contacted to reschedule their appointment as a priority. We cannot take new MOT or service bookings at present because we're unsure of when exactly we will be able to welcome customers into the garage again.
If your MOT is due from the 30th of March 2020, then do not worry because the DVSA have announced a 6 month MOT date extension for all cars, light vans and bikes. You can visit this page for more information www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-mots-for-cars-vans-and-motorcycles-due-from-30-march-2020.
We have been in touch with our manufactures and they have announced they will be adopting a sympathetic and flexible approach to any outstanding warranty issues.
If you have any aftersales enquiries or questions about a vehicle currently in our or bodyshop or accident repair centre, please contact Lisa Aitken at firstname.lastname@example.org who will be more than happy to help and hopefully put your mind at ease.
