HYUNDAI TUCSON ADDS 1.7-LITRE HIGH-POWER DIESEL WITH 7-SPEED DCT TO LINE-UP

Since its introduction into the European market back in late 2015, the all new Tuscon compact SUV has been a huge success. Selling more than 115,000 cars in Europe to date, Hyundai have now made some exciting additions to the line-up. As of March 2016, Hyundai have announced that an efficient 1.7-litre diesel with seven-speed double clutch transmission (7DCT) will be added to the line-up in 2016.

The 7DCT provides 20% higher fuel efficiency and lower CO2 emissions compared to a six-speed automatic transmission.

For further efficiency the new powertrain also comes with the Integrated Stop & Go (ISG) system as standard, this clever little feature switches the engine off when you come to a complete stop and back on again when you de-press the clutch. ISG offers up to 15% more fuel efficiency!

The new 1.7-litre is by far the most cost effective engine in the Hyundai Tuscon range.
