Stand Up To Cancer with Hyundai

Hyundai have joined the rebellion against cancer by joining Cancer Research UK to become an Official Partner of Stand Up To Cancer UK 2017. Hyundai UK and Stand Up To Cancer will launch a fundraising world-first involving an IONIQ Electric vehicle, details will be revealed in the coming weeks.

To raise some of this critical money, Stand Up To Cancer and Hyundai are working together on a world-first fundraising project which will involve a very unique IONIQ Electric. Using the latest technology, this one-of-a-kind car will give people a new and engaging way to donate to Stand Up To Cancer. The bespoke IONIQ will appear at a variety of high-profile events and at Hyundai dealerships between May and November 2017.

Hyundai UK is calling for people from across the country – including its employees, customers and the general public – to unite, stand up and join the rebellion against cancer by helping to raise funds for life-saving research. With 980 cases of cancer diagnosed every day in the UK, which is one every two minutes, it’s a disease that affects a huge number of people. But through funding, scientists can continue to make breakthroughs and increase cancer survival rates.

“Playing a role in helping to beat cancer is incredibly important to everyone at Hyundai. We are extremely proud to be supporting Cancer Research UK through our partnership with Stand Up To Cancer, a charity with which we share the same spirit of innovation. One in two of us will be diagnosed with cancer in our lifetime but the crucial thing is that together we can actually do something about it. I hope that through our fundraising plans, we can inspire people to stand up, donate and save lives.” Tony Whitehorn – CEO of Hyundai UK
